Situated in the borough of Camden, Whittington House is looking to undergo a full refurbishment in several phases. Our client, a cutting-edge research and technology company, has an objective to enhance the floor space and quality of working environment for their employees. The works are being carried out in phases due to the building remaining occupied throughout and needing to reduce disturbance to their working staff.
Phase 3 works were split over 2 floor areas, Level 2 and 4, and consisted of the fit out works including a full strip out, new walls and ceilings and glazed partitions.
- Tenants remained in the building throughout the normal working day. This required close client liaison with weekly meetings providing look-ahead programmes and sequenced layouts in line with the tenant’s work timetable.
- Installation of dust proof partitions were deployed and were easily demountable for relocation as the works progressed, maintaining a safe access route through the work areas for tenants.
- Deliveries required close co-ordination due to height restrictions of the car park. The delivery team had to ensure all plant and materials were delivered and removed from site without causing any unnecessary delays.
