The works involved the reconfiguration and refurbishment of the Lower Ground to 3rd Floor of The Heart Hospital on Westmoreland Street. This involved the strip out and demolition of certain areas, light refurbishment works which included new storage systems, decoration and the implementation of new sinks and theatre lights. Heavier refurbishment included the complete demolition of area on the 2nd and 3rd floor to form new theatres and plant room.
On the lower ground floor, formation of the waiting area and ultrasound room took place along with the formation of a new x-ray room and Fluoroscopy room. On the ground floor, formation of new consultant rooms and waiting areas took place. In the first floor theatres, new sinks and lighting were installed. Alterations to the storage room were carried out as well as decorations to the pre-theatre male and female rooms.
On the 2nd floor 3 new theatres, prep rooms, pre-theatre prep rooms, utility, store, nurses station, first stage recovery room, clean store and circulation area were built. Complete fit out of this floor was carried out to include all new M&E. Construction of the new AHU plant room and light refurbishment to nurse station ward office and clean utility stores took place. Existing office space was turned into changing room areas, complete with new showers and toilet facilities.
