8build were appointed to undertake the full strip out and reinstatement of 16 apartments within the Tapestry Building following a leak in 2017. The works consist of reinstating the 16 apartments by stripping out and drying out the apartments and refitting to a high specification finish.
The rest of the tapestry building is fully occupied with residents; logistics and maintenance of noisy works are key to maintaining happy neighbours.
Logistics – due to the joint scaffolding agreement from ‘king’s cross central partnership Ltd’ and ‘Argent’. We have assessed and proposed an alternative method for access / removals via the top car park and use of a goods lift.
Removal of rubbish due to limited access to the building and no skips allowed on the premises. We have proposed to utilise weight and load trucks on a 2-hour load basis.
