The Salvation Army is one of the largest and most diverse providers of social services in the UK after the Government. They were founded in London in 1865 and now work within 111 countries worldwide. In South Bromley, The Salvation Army runs a charity store and small Café, ‘The Light’, which desperately needed refurbishing to attract new customers.
The project requirement was to create a universal space in a modern context to service the various groups who operate from The Salvation Army premises in Bromley. The works consisted of transforming the tired café into a modern and attractive venue to compete with other popular High Street cafés. Comfortable furniture and stylish décor was required to increase footfall. Alongside this, we installed specialist catering and coffee equipment to enable the Salvation Army to have the facilities to sell a wider range of sandwiches and snacks.
