The building is to house the Centre for Brain and Cognitive Development (CDCB) Toddler Lab, specifically to be known as the Wohl Wolfson ToddlerLab.

Overcoming Challenges

The project holds a number of logistical issues, such as the general level of traffic, the number of people within the campus area and the safe access and egress to the site. To overcome the logistical challenges, we will be erecting a large compound within the square which will provide direct access to the site and segregate us from the public and students. When deliveries arrive we will utilise a traffic banksman who will greet and direct the vehicles into our compound.

Another challenge to overcome will be managing the load limitations due to existing basements and the strengthening works to the retained structures. To manage this, we have had numerous meetings with the structural engineer, our temporary works engineer (MBP) and the relevant subcontractors to overcome any potential problems.
