8build on site at the Royal Albert Hall
The Royal Albert Hall is a Grade I Listed building; and has been in continuous use since it was opened in March 1871. A registered charity, it was conceived as a multipurpose building to host not only concerts of music but exhibitions, public meetings, scientific conversations and award ceremonies.

The Royal Albert Hall now requires the refurbishment of the back of house staff canteen, which will be initially stripped ready for replacing new ductwork, fire alarm systems and other M&E services. In addition the lobby areas and WC/changing areas will also be updated.

As the BBC Proms will be ongoing during the works, the programme has been developed to work out of hours, ensuring that the Proms can continue with no disruption from our activities.

Works are due to be completed in October.
