8build Sustainable Practices are Recognised by British Land
Our sustainable practices are recognised by British Land through being shortlisted for the Building Together Sustainability Award. The Building Together scheme created by British Land, aims to improve communication, share best practice, ensure greater consistency, engage with our stakeholders and manage our impacts on the environment.
British Land hold an annual awards see the acknowledgement of properties and suppliers, who have excelled within these categories. The Waste Management category for which we were nominated gives recognition to development projects and managed properties, which have made a particular contribution towards reducing waste to landfill.
Our nomination for this award was based on the fit-outs management of the 201 Bishopsgate and The Broadgate Tower. The project saw 1,476 tonnes of waste produced with an amazing 97% being reused, recovered or recycled.
This nomination is a great achievement and a reminder of the impact that small changes can make on a project not just for costs, but also the environment.
