As part of our Giving Back scheme, we have been working with Inspire, part of the Education Business Partnership for Hackney. They are a registered charity working on behalf of the borough’s schools and colleges to help shape the future workforce to meet the needs of employers and make sure that the young people of Hackney are equipped with the right skills and attitudes.

At 8build we support Inspire by offering extended placements, these placements run one day a week and last for approximately 15-20 weeks.  Our placement programme allows the student to shadow and work on site with our project directors to enable them to get a good understanding of the nature of the construction industry, from planning to implementation.

Due to the huge success we have had working with Inspire, we have now taken on our 3rd student Martin, who is shadowing one of our most experienced Project Manager on a project for British Land.
