8build win £1.9M contract to upgrade BUPA data centre. Bupa was established more than 60 years ago in the UK and is now an international healthcare company with customers in 200 countries.

This month sees 8build win the contract to upgrade the BUPA data centre in Staines,  the project is estimated at £1.9million and is set to last 25 weeks.

The data centre is to, undergo, mechanical and electrical upgrades including new UPSs, replacement of DFUs, new electrical supply and switchgear and two new generators. 

Alongside this will be a refurbishment of the area, ensuring that the building both internally and externally are updated in order to be able to maintain growth.  The external areas are being re-landscaped to accommodate the new external plant. 

All works will be carried out whilst the data centre is live.
