8build are Appointed for £40m JP Morgan Chase, Canary Wharf

JP Morgan serves one of the largest client franchises in the world. They are a leader in investment banking, financial services for consumers, small business and commercial banking, financial transaction processing, asset management, and private equity. A component of the Dow Jones Industrial Average, JPMorgan Chase serves millions of clients and consumers under its J.P. Morgan and Chase brands.

Their recent acquisition of Bear Stearns meant that J.P. Morgan also acquired what was to be their new Head office at 5 Churchill Place, Canary Wharf. This 60 week project involves fitting out the ground floor, levels 1 to 9 and level 12 of the BP2 building in Canary Wharf.

The project includes a full fit out including raised access flooring, suspended ceilings, dry lining and large amount of glazed demountable offices and meeting rooms. Stone lift lobbies are to be installed throughout the building with glazed lift lobby doors.

5 dealer floors are to be erected with suspended fittings and curved ceilings. Level 12 holds a high specification conference/board room, as well as having a large commercial kitchen with screened floors and high durable acrylic seamless bonded floor on level 12 and 1.

The fit out will be carried out closely alongside the Shell & Core works by Canary Wharf’s Works Contractors, which will require a close liaison between both teams, which has worked successfully in the past.
