Candy and Candy, exclusive Interior Designers and Development Managers appointed 8build to undertake the the refurbishment and reconfiguration of two adjacent Mews properties to form one dwelling (virtual demolition and rebuild of the property). The work is being undertaken to suit new owner’s requirements, substantially increasing property value and lowering energy usage.

The property structure:
Basement level: plant room, cinema, bedrooms and bathrooms
Ground floor: entrance hall, office, gym and garage
First floor level: reception, dining room, cinema and kitchen
Second floor level: master bedroom, lounge, internal garden, master bathroom and dressing room

There will be an excavation of a new basement under both properties, which requires underpinning perimeter party walls. There will be a new roof, incorporating roof lights and improved roof insulation, new front façade works incorporating new window and door configuration.

Works also include the installation of a new single staircase rising from basement to second floor. Bespoke joinery and quality finishes are specified along with all floor finishes as stone.

The overall programme of the project will be 44 weeks.
