8build have won the contract to refurbish the prestigious London department store Liberty, this leading destination store is one of London’s oldest emporium’s dating back to 1875.

The grade II listed Tudor building is having the adjacent building fully refurbished to extend the services for the main store. The partially unoccupied space is currently being used as storage facilities on the upper 3 floors and has a retail space on the ground.

The works will see the removal of the staircase in the adjacent building, as well as the full reconfiguration of the upper 3 floors to match the ceiling and floor heights of the main store the new area will then break through into the main store creating more area.

Once configuration and break through are complete the new area will be fitted out to the high end luxurious standards synonymous with Liberty.

The project is to start Mid May and complete Mid October 2011.
