8build have secured there first laboratory project with Imperial College. The works involve a complete refurbishment of the existing laboratory to create a comprehensive cancer imaging centre.

Works compromise remedial works to the structure, internal finishes, new fume cupboards and extract system. In addition to the above works a separate ‘hot lab’ area containgin radio isotope fume hoods are to be installed. A large proportion of the works will be mechanical and electrical, including a new roof mounted chiller and associated plant.

This will be 8build’s 4th job as part of the Imperial College framework. The works on this project began early July 2010.
